We created our soothing soaks for the purpose of a gentle yet luxurious soak experience that focuses on cleaning the skin and amplifying the relaxation process to whole body.
The blend of ingredients is carefully measured to ensure a good dose of each penetrates the skin surface and relaxes the muscles and joints as you sit immersed in your warm soothing bath. A deposit of oils known to keep skin plump and hydrated is the finale for the truly remedying experience.
But why did we make it?
Our founder and creator suffers with debilitating pain from torso down, a long term combined issue between genecology and postpartum damage to organs and nerves. At times it is so bad that it affects all aspects of daily living. After research into ways to sooth muscles, joints and flare ups beyond that of a simple warm bath, the soothing soak was created with the intention of routine use before bed.
Whilst this did not 'cure' or 'fix' this issue, she noticed that when combined with her regular medication, she was able to manage her health issues must better and her quality of life improved.
Out of curiosity, she added an essential oil blend that she would normally use in her oil burner, mixed with some oils to help keep her skin from going dry when she got out. From the moment it dispersed in the water, she was instantly relaxed. Able to breath deeply, submit to the works of the warm water on her muscles and take in the feeling of the fizzy mix on her skin, the smell of the oils, the warmth from the water and the weightless sensation of her body floating...she slept for 9 hours straight that night and knew it was time to get this magic soak out to others.
The combination of electrolytes helps guide your body into regulation, electrolytes are natural substances that have a positive or negative electrical charge when dissolved in water. They're often used in medicine either in tablets, vitamins or intravenously (through the vein) when your body is extremely low in its capacity to bring its function back to a normal pace.
As we know, the skin is the body's largest organ, it is alive and it will absorb whatever you put on it. So by adding this to the bath you are giving your skin the ability to absorb these electrolytes in small amounts, sort of like a little top up, every time you soak.
Reintroducing electrolytes to the body at rest is always best as the body is not preoccupied or burning through them whilst they intake via the delivery method. Therefore, soaking and relaxing in them will mean you are at your most peaceful calm state and the body can take in as much as required without disruption.
